# Rendering (JavaScript SEO)

> How search engines process and execute JavaScript to see page content.

Source: https://anotherseoguru.com/en/glossary/rendering

Rendering is the process by which search engines execute JavaScript to generate the final HTML content of a page. JavaScript-heavy sites require proper rendering for search engines to index their content.

## Example

A React SPA that loads content via JavaScript. Googlebot must render the page to see the content - if rendering fails, content isn't indexed.

## How to apply it

Use server-side rendering (SSR) or static generation for critical content, test with Mobile-Friendly Test, check rendered HTML in GSC, minimize render-blocking JS.

> **Pro tip:** Googlebot queues pages for rendering - there's a delay between crawl and render. SSR ensures content is immediately visible without rendering dependency.
