Rank tracking follows the keywords you choose using Search Console's own data, so it's free and covers every device and country you rank in.
How positions are measured
Each keyword's position is the average over the last 7 days, weighted by impressions, which is exactly how Search Console reports it. The 7d and 28d columns compare with the 7 days before and with 28 days earlier. Search Console updates daily with about a 3-day delay, and can differ from a single live check of Google.
Rankings distribution
The card at the top splits your tracked keywords into Top 3, Page 1, Page 2, Page 3+ and Not ranking, and shows how many moved into or out of each tier in the last 28 days. Click a tier to filter the table to it.
Targets
Set a target position for a keyword to see how far it is from the goal. Keywords that are close to a target show up as suggestions for your next push.
