Running a site audit
Crawl your site, read the issues and compare crawls over time.
In this article
Site audit → Issues crawls your site from the homepage and sitemap, checks every page for the problems that block rankings, and saves each crawl so you can compare them.
Crawl settings
- Page limit: how many pages one crawl covers. It depends on your plan; raise it in Settings when a crawl stops at the limit.
- Render JavaScript: for sites built with React, Vue, Wix and similar. When needed opens only the pages that look empty without JavaScript in a real browser.
- Include sitemap: also crawls pages from your XML sitemap and finds sitemap pages nothing links to.
- Only crawl: limits the crawl to one folder, like
/blog/.
Reading the results
Each crawled URL scores by its worst issue. Issues are grouped by area (indexing, content, links, social and structured data, performance) and each explains why it matters and how to fix it. Compare with an earlier crawl to see what's new and what you fixed.
