What is E-E-A-T

E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) is Google's framework for evaluating content quality. It's especially important for YMYL (Your Money Your Life) topics. The extra E for Experience was added in 2022.

Example

A medical article written by a licensed doctor (expertise) who has treated patients (experience) for a respected hospital (authority) with cited sources (trust).

How to apply it

Display author credentials, link to authoritative sources, show real experience, get mentions/links from authorities, use HTTPS, display contact info, update content regularly.

Tip:E-E-A-T isn't a direct ranking factor - it's what Google's quality raters use. But optimizing for it aligns with what Google's algorithms reward.
