What is Title Tag

The title tag is an HTML element that defines the title of a web page. It appears in search engine results as the clickable headline and in browser tabs. Title tags are one of the most important on-page SEO factors.

Example

<title>Best Running Shoes 2026 | Expert Reviews & Buying Guide</title>

How to apply it

Keep titles 50-60 characters, include primary keyword near the beginning, add brand name at the end with a pipe separator, make it compelling to improve CTR.

Tip:Use unique titles for every page. Duplicate titles confuse search engines about which page to rank.
